Public Relations Committee
The Public Relations Committee exists to promote public awareness, and increase the visibility of, the field of school psychology as well as the role of the school psychologist. This shall be accomplished through the utilization of media resources, printed materials, interpersonal contacts, positive public relations practices, and other activities as designated by the Executive Board.
The Public Relations Committee shall:
- promote the work of the Association by facilitating activities during School Psychology Awareness Week and Fall Conference.
- provide publicity for events, coordinate media releases for award recipients and other NCSPA events of interest, and produce and submit news releases focusing on school psychology contributions at the local and regional levels.
- communicate with the NASP Public Relations/Public Information (PR/PI) Committee
- maintain the NCSPA promotional and sale items
- assist with recruitment efforts at the local, regional, and national levels
